Huaibei Normal University (hereinafter referred to as huaibei normal), located in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, is a comprehensive provincial-level key university, and has been selected into the basic capacity building project of central and western universities (Phase II), the peak discipline construction plan of Anhui Province and the national training plan.

Founded in 1974, it was originally Huaibei Branch of Anhui Normal University. 1978 12 menstrual period was approved by the State Council, and it was named Huaibei Coal Teachers College, which was under the former Ministry of Coal Industry. 1September, 1998, the management system of "central and local governments jointly build, with Anhui Province in charge" was implemented. On March 20 10, it was renamed Huaibei Normal University with the approval of the Ministry of Education.

As of March 2023, the school has two campuses, Xiangshan and Binhu, covering an area of more than 2,400 mu, with a building area of 750,000 square meters, more than 7 million Chinese and foreign paper books and electronic documents, and more than 33,000 teaching and research instruments and equipment, with a total value of 298 million yuan.
