Public security information science major:
The major of public security information science trains high-level compound talents who meet the needs of the development of public security work, have good scientific quality and humanistic quality, comprehensively and systematically master the basic theories, knowledge and skills of public security information science, can engage in information collection, collation, analysis, comprehensive judgment and application in public security departments, engage in related work in national security, frontier inspection and other departments, and engage in teaching and scientific research in related fields. Drug control is a new public security major. In March 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the college added an undergraduate major in drug control, which initiated the drug control education in public security colleges in China. With the advantages of investigation, law and chemistry, this major has constructed an education and teaching system with public security anti-drug characteristics, which is dominated by anti-drug investigation and based on drug inspection and drug rehabilitation prevention. Information security specialty is a new interdisciplinary subject focusing on national development. This major mainly trains senior professionals who are engaged in on-site photography, video recording and audio-visual material inspection and appraisal in the field of audio-visual technology. This major is composed of public security image technology and audio-visual inspection technology.
Forensic medicine major:
Forensic medicine is a subject that applies the theories and technologies of natural sciences such as medicine and biology to solve problems related to personal injury, identification of remains and paternity test in judicial practice. Through on-site investigation and inspection and appraisal, it provides clues and evidence for public, procuratorial and legal organs to investigate, prosecute and hear related cases. This major mainly trains professionals who can independently carry out murder scene investigation, corpse inspection, forensic material evidence inspection, living body inspection and identification, teaching and scientific research in public security organs at all levels in the country.
