With regard to further improving after-school services, Lv Yugang, director of the Department of Basic Education of the Ministry of Education, introduced that the main tasks of after-school services can be summarized in four aspects, namely, 16, namely, "comprehensive coverage, ensuring time, improving quality and strengthening security".
1. Comprehensive coverage: All local schools should proceed from reality, formulate and improve the specific implementation plan of "one school, one case" after-school service, ensure full coverage of compulsory education schools after the start of school this fall, and strive to achieve full coverage of students with difficulties.
2. Guaranteed time: the "5+2" mode of after-school service is implemented, that is, the school provides after-school service five days a week, with at least two hours a day, and the end time is connected with the local normal off-duty time. For students whose parents have difficulty in picking up their children, delayed custody service should be provided.
3. Improve the quality: on the one hand, guide students to finish their homework carefully, provide counseling and answering questions for students with learning difficulties, and expand the learning space for students with spare capacity; On the other hand, we should carry out a variety of literary, sports, labor, reading, interest groups and community activities to meet the different needs of students. But it is not allowed to use after-school service time to teach new lessons.
4. Strengthen the guarantee: The education administrative department shall, jointly with relevant departments, conscientiously implement the requirements stipulated in the Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Standardizing the Development of Off-campus Training Institutions, improve the measures to guarantee the funds for after-school services, clarify relevant standards, and raise funds by means of financial subsidies, service fees or agency fees. After-school service funds are mainly used to subsidize teachers and related personnel who participate in after-school service. After-school services are generally undertaken by teachers in our school, and retired teachers, qualified social professionals or volunteers can also be hired to participate. At the same time, make full use of social resources such as children's palace and youth activity center.
