Shanxi University is not 2 1 1, 1998, and has become a key construction university in Shanxi Province. In 2005, it became a university jointly established by Shanxi Provincial People's Government and Ministry of Education. In 20/0/2, KLOC-0/4 became one of the selected universities in the "Comprehensive Strength Improvement Project of Universities in the Midwest" and embarked on a new platform for the country to build a "distinctive and high-level" university.

20 14 Taiyuan electric power institute with a history of 60 years was merged into Shanxi university, and its discipline structure was further improved. 20 16 became the key construction university of "one province, one school" in the central and western regions of China.

In 20 17, Shanxi Province issued opinions to support Shanxi University to carry out the "133 1 project" in depth, and to benchmark "double first-class" to achieve the first development. In 20 18, our school officially became a joint university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Shanxi provincial government on the basis of the joint construction of provinces and ministries and the construction of "one province and one school".

Shanxi University, located in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province, is an ancient cultural capital with a history of more than 2,500 years.
