According to the People's Education Publishing House, Unit 6, Grade 6, Accumulate Over a Long Period, one sentence in One Hundred Years of Solitude teaches people to be honest and upright: keeping your promise is a fortune, and you should not squander it at will.
However, according to the investigation, there is no such sentence in the original text of "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Colombian writer Garcia Marquez (including three different versions translated by Huang, Shen and Chen Quanhe).
