How do American teachers discipline children?
Over the years, although my child is not a child prodigy, he has always been among the best in American schools. Regrettably, today, two years after we moved across the state, my Dabao's chemistry score has fallen to an unacceptable level. Although her math performance is acceptable, it is still not satisfactory. So I deeply feel the anxiety of these two parents, and I am thinking hard myself.

Fortunately, teachers in American schools are very dedicated. At the recent parent-teacher meeting, they not only emphasized their educational policy to us, but also told us their parenting experience at great expense. I think from the perspective of American teachers and parents, their experiences are very valuable. While learning about their parenting experience, I am also trying to tap the essence of their parenting. I hope this information can inspire all parents.

My child's chemistry teacher is Jewish. At the beginning of school, Dabao was far ahead in chemistry. To this end, the Jewish teacher also specially praised Dabao, saying that she would be one of the best students in the class. Unexpectedly, within two months, Dabao's chemistry scores dropped greatly, almost from the best to the worst. The teacher is puzzled, and we are more worried.

The American chemistry teacher's evaluation of Dabao is that although the child is smart, he seems to be sleepwalking and inattentive in class. She made mistakes in the same questions over and over again. These questions are really not difficult at all. The most incredible thing is that Dabao actually failed the exam for the second time on the topic that once got full marks.

As parents, we can't help thinking, what is the problem with Dabao? The possible reason I can think of is that children are too busy with extracurricular activities and school homework is too heavy. Chemistry is probably her disliked subject. Under pressure, she simply threw the hard bone of chemistry aside and ignored it. She doesn't care if she does well in the exam.

When I communicated this idea with Dabao, her silence confirmed my guess. As soon as I touched her chemical lifeline, I further reminded Dabao, son, you can't have this mentality. No one's future depends entirely on interest. No matter what you do in the future, whether you can enter a prestigious school or not, a positive learning attitude is very important. How can a child with a bad learning attitude have an optimistic attitude in his future work? Although Bill Gates didn't go to college, he tried his best to get straight A's in high school. Without this motivation, he would not have achieved brilliant Microsoft. Attitude is everything, and this truth applies equally to children and adults.

My above ideas coincide with Dabao's chemistry teacher. In order to further support my idea, at the parent-teacher meeting that day, the Jewish teacher dictated his parenting experience to me:

I am a Jew, and I can't forget our sufferings. In order to live a better and more dignified life in America, when my children were young, I had three jobs and often came home from work at 10: 30 every night. The wife is more spoiled to the children, and she is not slow to grasp their learning. As a result, children's grades are poor, they don't like learning, and they don't want to make progress. This makes me anxious, even angry. My children are not stupid. He shouldn't be like this.

After discovering the problem, every night after work, no matter how tired or busy I am, I will check my child's homework and preview his exam content the next day until he fully understands it. Sometimes, children are uncooperative and often lazy. In order to deal with him, sometimes I drag him out of bed at night and force him to review his lessons. After this demonic education was repeated several times, the child finally became honest and developed good study habits. Since then, my children's grades have soared, and I was admitted to a prestigious school as I wished.

This Jewish teacher's parenting experience is very similar to that of a Vietnamese mother I know. The Vietnamese lady came to America as a refugee. She and her husband work hard to support their families and are exhausted every day. She expects her son to study hard and live a decent life after he takes root in America. It's a pity that children don't understand adults' minds. Her little Vietnamese boy is in a daze all day and doesn't care about school work at all. In order to save the children, Vietnamese mothers finally had to do this. Boy, if you don't study hard, you will eat my stick. Finally, Vietnamese mothers turned their children into top students at Yale University.

Although I personally don't advocate hitting children, I think parents really need to take some compulsory measures against stubborn children. Parents should at least help their children develop good study habits before they can let go. If parents treat their children lightly and adopt their daughters with an insignificant attitude, children with poor grades are like backward horse racing, which is not only difficult to surpass themselves, but also impossible to catch up.

After listening to the story of the Jewish teacher, we began to adopt some of his suggestions selectively. Before Dabao's exam, we will predict and test her mastery of the exam content, and also remind and help her review what she doesn't understand. All this was done by Dabao's father.

Father's influence on children's education is very important. This view has been affirmed by educational experts. There is a book called "Great Child, Made by Father", which is about this problem. To be fair, it is getting harder and harder for men in today's world. The heavy responsibility of making money to support the family and the hardships of resisting various temptations afflict men all over the world from old to young (haha, exaggeration). In this case, we really can't bear to let men discipline children any more.

For the sake of children, we have to put up with men's feelings. Why? Because my family's Dabao resolutely refuses to obey my leadership. The most ridiculous thing is that she still thinks I'm rustic. Look, your mother wasn't like this when she was young. Your mother became like this for you, a little kid.

After a unified understanding, there has been a gratifying scene in my family recently. On weekends, my father stood in front of my simple blackboard with an eraser in one hand and a handout in the other, just like a Jewish teacher in an American high school. 12/ 1/09 1 1:05AM

The main points of this paper are:

1。 Children with poor grades must be taken care of by adults

2。 Compulsory measures should be taken against children who are not sensible.

3。 Father should realize the importance of his responsibility.
