Huaining is a county under the jurisdiction of Anqing City, Anhui Province.

Huaining County, which belongs to Anqing City, Anhui Province, is located in the southwest of Anhui Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the lower reaches of the Wanhe River. It borders Yixiu District in the east, Qianshan City and Taihu County in the west, Tongcheng City across the Dasha River in the north and Wangjiang County in the south. Total area 1276 km2. Jurisdiction over 15 towns and 5 townships.

Huaining is the location of the story of the ancient poem Peacock Flying Southeast in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is also one of the cradles of Anhui Opera, and is known as the hometown of drama and education. There are scenic spots such as Peacock Southeast Flying Film and Television Base, Duxiu Mountain, Putuo Temple, etc., and the specialty foods include Huaining Gongbing and Longchixiang Fried Tea.

Historical evolution:
