Huaining County, which belongs to Anqing City, Anhui Province, is located in the southwest of Anhui Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the lower reaches of the Wanhe River. It borders Yixiu District in the east, Qianshan City and Taihu County in the west, Tongcheng City across the Dasha River in the north and Wangjiang County in the south. Total area 1276 km2. Huaining is the location of the story of the ancient poem Peacock Flying Southeast in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is also one of the cradles of Anhui Opera, and is known as the hometown of drama and education. Historical evolution:
In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), the official road was abandoned and implemented at the provincial and county levels. Huaining County originally belonged to Anhui Province; From the third year to the seventeenth year of the Republic of China (19 14- 1928), it belonged to Anqing Road; Seventeen years (1928), August, abolished, directly under Anhui province; 2 1 year (1932) set up the administrative supervision department, which belongs to the first district; In thirty-four years (1945), after the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, it was once changed to Anqing area; Thirty-five years (1946) until the eve of liberation, it was still the first district.
In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, there were administrative offices in northern and southern Anhui, which were subordinate to the administrative office in northern Anhui; 1July, 952, the administrative office was revoked, and Anhui Province was established, with a branch office under Anqing District; 1970 was changed to a special zone, which belongs to Anqing special zone.
