The State Council and the province determine the principle of the growth of education funds, and monitor the growth and use of district and county (national) education funds in accordance with the relevant provisions of the national education capital construction and affiliated educational institutions and the management of state-owned assets; Guide the work-study program and school-run industrial work within the national education system. Responsible for the adjustment of network layout planning of various schools in China, and the management of school infrastructure, school buildings, school property and educational land.
Responsible for the management of national academic education and examination work. Work with relevant departments to study and formulate enrollment plans for schools of all levels and types throughout the country. Responsible for continuing education, adult self-study exams, and eliminating illiteracy among young people. Responsible for managing, coordinating and guiding the foreign affairs of the education system; Responsible for reviewing overseas students with college education or above; Responsible for coordinating educational exchanges with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
