Guo Moruo, who was far away in Japan at that time, wrote three couplets. One of them is:
Before Confucius, there were countless Confucius. After Confucius, there was no Confucius.
There was no Lu Xun before Lu Xun, and there were countless Lu Xun after Lu Xun.
This couplet seems simple, but in fact it has profound implications. Although Lu Xun and Confucius are compared, they are completely different. Because "the existence of Confucius in China is supported by powerful people ... and has nothing to do with the public" (Lu Xun's original words), but Lu Xun is a great man of China's cultural revolution. The achievements of his life are closely related to the people, which is unprecedented and has a far-reaching impact on future generations. This couplet contains the author's respect.
Si Nuo and Yao Ke, international friends in Beijing at that time, jointly wrote a couplet:
I haven't written the translation yet. I was shocked to hear the news of the Death Star. China, who took the lead in shouting?
When Mr. Wang died, the literary world was at a loss when he remembered the old rain.
This connection is profound, pun intended. Lu Xun's two books, Wandering and Scream, are embedded in the connection, but there are no traces of carving, which can be described as natural and appropriate, exquisite and wonderful. In the first part, "the translated book has not been written" refers to "Living China" translated and edited by Yao Ke and Si Nuo at that time.
The elegiac couplet sent by Cai Yuanpei, a famous educator in China, is:
The most rigorous work is not the history of China's novels.
The last words are too heavy. Don't be an empty writer.
The History of China's Novels refers to Lu Xun's handout A Brief History of Chinese Novels, which has been teaching the history of China's novels at Peking University since 1920. In the second couplet, I fully understood and praised Mr. Lu Xun's opinion that his son would never be a short writer in his will.
1950, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Lu Xun's death/kloc-0, Comrade Chen Yi wrote a couplet to commemorate:
If you want to beat Reservoir Dogs, you will never forgive him. If you know how to advance and retreat, don't you struggle in the literary world?
Don't be an empty writer. You hate helping others all your life, dare to laugh and scold, and deserve your ideological authority.
This pair of couplets is simple and natural, with warm and sincere feelings, which highly summarizes Lu Xun's life achievements and ideological character and expresses the author's reverence.
Feel the cold mountain day after day
When I saw the white clouds, it was raining in autumn and winter. After reading three or five translations, I can't help but recall my own beauty. In the face of disaster, Daewoo was diligent in Mozi's biography, while herbivores lost cheese, and Jianghu people followed their predecessors.
