Luoyang No.1 High School Wenxing School is a high-standard school jointly run by Luoyang Wenxing Education Company. Luoyang No.1 High School, referred to as Luoyigao for short, is located in Luolong District, Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is the first batch of demonstration high schools and key high schools in Henan Province, and was once praised by Hu Shi as one of the top 20 middle schools in China.
Luoyang No.1 Middle School was born in the 30th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1904). Formerly affiliated middle school, it was one of the 100 middle schools built by the Qing government with boxer indemnity. The name of the school has been changed several times, including junior high school, Luo Yang Middle School, No.8 Middle School, Zhongshan Middle School, Luo Zhong Provincial Middle School and Yuxi United Middle School. After several relocations, the school site moved to Neixiang, Henan, Fufeng, Kaifeng and Wujiang, Jiangsu.
1954, the high school moved to the former site of Hoonji, East Shuanglong Lane, Jiamaying Road, and was officially renamed as "Luoyang No.1 High School". In 2000, Luoyang No.1 Middle and Western Campus was completed and put into use.
