The two sports universities are Jinzhong University, taiyuan normal University, Taiyuan University, xinzhou teachers university and Yanbei Normal University.

Jinzhong University Jinzhong University, located in Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, is a full-time ordinary university sponsored by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government. Jinzhong University, formerly known as Jinzhong Teachers College, was founded in 1958. In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, a full-time undergraduate college in Shanxi Province was established on the basis of the merger of the former Jinzhong Teachers College, Jinzhong Education College and Jinzhong Workers College.

Taiyuan normal University, referred to as "taiyuan normal College", is located in Jinzhong City and Taiyuan City. It is a provincial full-time undergraduate college with 9 disciplines, including economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management and art, and was selected as the national cultural quality education base for college students in 20 13 years.
