Around 470 AD, Li Daoyuan was born into a bureaucratic family in Zhuozhou, Northern Wei Dynasty. The elders in the family served as officials in the DPRK, and were favored by the emperor of the Northern Wei Dynasty, and eventually they were named Marquis. When Li Daoyuan grew up, he directly inherited his father's title and entered the officialdom as an earl.
Li Daoyuan's father was Li Fan, a famous minister in the Northern Wei Dynasty. He was an official in the Northern Wei Dynasty for more than forty years. After the four emperors of the Northern Wei Dynasty, he was promoted from a small official with no titles in the Eastern Palace to a knight, which had a very important influence on the Northern Wei court.
Li Fan, born in 428 AD and died in 489 AD, was a famous official in the Northern Wei Dynasty.
At first, Li Fan was just a small official working in the East, and his position was not high. When Wen Chengdi Tuoba GUI succeeded to the throne, he rewarded the contribution of Li Fan's ancestors, so he added all the rewards to Li Fan's head. Li Fan suddenly became a Baron Yongning from a small official in the Eastern Palace of the Ming Dynasty, and was named General Ningyuan.
In 467 AD, Li Fan followed the Southern Expedition General Murong Baiyao to attack the Southern Song Dynasty. During this period, Li Fan participated in military planning, many of which were put forward by Li Fan. Wei Jun once killed Song Jun according to Li Fan's plan, and he was invincible in several cities all the way.
Because of this contribution, Li Fan was appreciated by General Murong Baiyao. At the same time, Murong Baiyao also recommended Li Fan to be the secretariat of Qingzhou and supervised the court from now on.
In 47 1 year, Li Fan was made a marquis, and he was promoted to the position of Hou Yongning, a senior minister. In 484 AD, he was appointed as the general of Pingdong and the secretariat of Qingzhou, and was given a false example. Later, at the age of 62, he died of illness, and posthumous title "longed for the public".
It is with such an excellent father that Li Daoyuan can get a good family education and choose what he likes to do.
Li Daoyuan's most famous work in his life is his geographical work Water Mirror Notes. This book has made great contributions not only to geography, but also to the development of geography in China. At the same time, it is also very meaningful in literature. In today's middle school textbooks of nine-year compulsory education, The Three Gorges written by Li Daoyuan is still a compulsory course for students.
How did Li Daoyuan, the official family, think of writing such a geography book and traveling all over the mountains and rivers for him?
Li Daoyuan has been interested in geographical research since he was a teenager. He likes to visit the rivers and mountains of the motherland, especially to study the hydrogeology and natural features of various places.
Secondly, when Li Daoyuan was a local governor, he was able to travel around the world and visit the great rivers and mountains of the motherland.
Finally, Li Daoyuan's career was not smooth, which made him feel attached to mountains and rivers. During his dismissal, he had enough time and energy to compare modern geographical phenomena with ancient geographical phenomena.
Therefore, Li Daoyuan wrote Shui Jing Zhu, on the one hand, because he really has this hobby, and on the other hand, because he provided ample opportunities during his official career to enable him to put his ideas into practice. ?
