EFSET is an online English testing platform, and its certificate has been recognized by Holt International Business School. The White Paper on the Background Technical Report of the English Standard Test published by EF Research website shows that EF's research is developed by combining AUA and Design 7 statements. The white paper has detailed development process and data analysis to illustrate the effectiveness of EFSET score and CEFR score on the target. However, the EF test platform was launched in September, 20 14, and only monitors two dimensions: listening and reading. Speaking and writing have not been launched yet, and official website has not specified the specific launch date.

According to the R&D Manual of CEFR, there is a global standard for the evaluation of each level, including listening, reading, oral interaction, oral output and writing. Therefore, the score of EF test can only show that the candidates' listening and reading scores have reached a certain level, but it cannot show that the candidates' comprehensive English level has reached a certain level.
