All candidates are required to take an exam consisting of four parts: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
Academic classes and training classes use the same test questions for listening and speaking, and different test questions for reading and writing.
The first three exams (listening, reading and writing) must be completed on the same day. The speaking test can be arranged before or after the other three parts of the test according to the test center.
aural comprehension
Time: 40 minutes
Candidates listen to four recordings, and the difficulty increases with the progress of the exam.
These recordings include monologues and dialogues, and you will hear different English accents and dialects in the exam.
The recording can only be heard once, but it will leave some time for the candidates to read the questions and record the answers.
Academic reading
Time: 60 minutes
Candidates will read three articles and answer questions after the articles.
Articles are selected from books, magazines, periodicals and newspapers, and readers do not need professional knowledge.
At least one article contains detailed arguments.
Training reading
Time: 60 minutes
The test articles are based on daily life materials in English-speaking countries.
The test articles will be extracted from newspapers, advertisements, pamphlets and books to examine candidates' ability to understand and use information.
The test questions include a long descriptive rather than explanatory article.
Academic writing
Time: 60 minutes
The first part requires candidates to write an article of about 150 words according to a given table or chart to test their ability to describe and analyze data.
In the second part, candidates are required to write a short essay of about 250 words on a certain question or viewpoint. Candidates are required to use appropriate tone and register (including vocabulary, grammar, etc. ) to discuss the problem and demonstrate.
Training writing
Time: 60 minutes
The first part requires candidates to write a letter of about 150 words, asking for information or explaining the situation.
The second part requires candidates to write a short essay of about 250 words according to the questions or opinions given. Candidates are required to express their views in appropriate tone and register (including vocabulary, grammar, etc.). ) and refute other views.
spoken language
Time: 1 1- 14 minutes
The exam takes the form of one-on-one interview.
Examine the daily conversations of candidates, describe familiar topics in a certain space and interact with examiners.
