Pan Weimin, male, born in Yiyang, Hunan Province,1May 1964, is a professor, doctor, tutor for master students, and currently dean of the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai University of Electric Power. Doctor of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Shanghai Jiaotong University, a young backbone teacher in Hunan Province. He used to be the chairman of the Graduate Student Association of Hunan University, director of the Science and Technology English Teaching and Research Section of Changsha University of Electric Power, secretary of the General Party Branch of the Department of Foreign Languages, director of the International Exchange Department, deputy director of the Academic Affairs Office, director of the International Exchange Department of Changsha University of Science and Technology, dean of the School of Foreign Languages, and director of the West Africa Research Center of Changsha University of Science and Technology.

Mainly engaged in translation theory and practice, cultural comparison between China and the West, and ESP. He used to be vice chairman of Hunan Translation Association, vice chairman of Hunan Science and Technology Translation Association and director of Hunan People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
