The role of education in the cultural inheritance and development of China.
From the perspective of generalized culture, the ancient education in China and the culture created by human beings, namely, experience, knowledge and skills, are all passed down and spread through generalized education.

Negative influence: Although Kong Qiu, who founded the Confucian school, was politically conservative, he made great contributions to sorting out cultural heritage and establishing private schools. Kong Qiu is a famous educator in ancient China, with 3000 disciples and 72 disciples of saints, and has trained a large number of talents with cultural knowledge. Confucianism, represented by Kong Qiu, attaches importance to education and takes the Six Classics as a textbook. Poetry-Literature, Book-Politics, Yi-Mathematics, Etiquette-Morality and Ethics, Music-Music Art Aesthetics, Spring and Autumn Period-History. Confucius didn't want to talk about the chaos in Machamp, and he rarely talked about religious content. The private school of Confucianism headed by Kong Qiu did not attach importance to the research and teaching of production knowledge and science and technology, which was the deficiency of Confucian education and had a long-term negative impact on ancient China culture.

Positive influence: In family education, Confucius asked his son Kong Li to study the ancient traditional culture of China, social laws and regulations, and ethics, so that he could achieve academic and moral achievements and make a difference in the future. As the saying goes, "If you don't learn poetry, you have nothing to say" and "If you don't learn etiquette, you have nothing to stand on", which emphasizes the combination of reading and being a man, and the unity of learning and cultivation. This is the outstanding feature of China's family precepts formed since Confucius. In the ancient history of China, Confucius made great contributions to the development of ancient culture in China. The fine tradition formed by Confucius in family education has a great influence on later generations. In addition, the so-called father-son court instruction of the ancients came from Confucius' teaching of Kong Li in the courtyard.

Four characteristics of ancient education:

First, it has a complete system structure and system theory;

Second, the social function and political function of education are fully reflected and brought into play, while the production function and economic function are ignored or difficult to be reflected and brought into play;

Thirdly, the ancient education system has an ultra-stable structure and changes with the evolution of social history, but it is mostly perfect and partially adjusted, and it is difficult to change as a whole;

Fourthly, China's ancient education system organically unified the strict hierarchical system with extensive commonness, which not only guaranteed the absolute privilege of the ruling group, but also helped to expand the ruling base.

In a word, we can't simply judge the advantages and disadvantages of China's ancient education, but should make a concrete analysis to seek enlightenment and reference value for future generations from the dialectical relationship between advantages and disadvantages or gains and losses.
