-thoughts on reading "great teaching theory"

"The great teaching theory is used to explain all the art of teaching everything to everyone, so that young people can learn quickly, happily and thoroughly." When I read the last page of Comenius' The Great Theory of Teaching and gently closed the book, I had a new interpretation of this sentence.

I suddenly realized that education is an encounter. It is the integration of teaching and learning, the communication between teachers and students, the unity of art and science, and the cohesion of faith and love.

Life is so vigorous and spectacular. As teachers, we will meet children gathered from all directions like little colored beans at one intersection after another. Their hearts are closely linked with the teacher's. As Comenius said, their hearts are like the seeds of trees. In the passing time, teachers have infiltrated their hearts with education, so that the trees that actually exist in the seeds can truly show the green of life.

Comenius was a famous educational theorist in the Czech Republic more than 300 years ago, and one of the greatest founders of modern education and pedagogy theory. His masterpiece "The Great Teaching Theory" is regarded as the symbol of the birth of teaching theory. The long river of history is slowly moving forward, but his beliefs and thoughts on education have been refined over time, and today they still inspire generations of educators to keep forging ahead.

Individual development needs to be realized through education, and education needs the firm belief of educators to support it. Professor Fu Rengan pointed out in the article "Comenius' Views on Several Important Educational Issues-Commemorating the 365th Anniversary of Comenius' Birth" that Comenius' firm belief in an educational power is still of great significance today. Comenius believes that "we don't need to give a person anything from the outside, we just need to show what his stock friends are hiding in it." In other words, people have great possibilities for development, but this may be achieved through education, just as jade can only be turned into ornaments after carving, and horses and cattle can only serve people after training. People's hearts are like soil, and white paper is wax "As long as the gardener is careful", the soil can grow all kinds of pleasing plants. "There is nothing on white paper, but everything can be written", and wax "can also be changed into various forms". Comenius believes that people can be shaped by external forces and can be divided into two types, one is environment and the other is education, but education can influence the environment, which shows that education is an important means to promote individual development.

When reading "On Great Teaching", many outstanding teachers who met in the process of growing up emerged. Some of them are bright and warm, others are harsh and cold, but what is important is that they all have confidence in education. They know how to teach students in accordance with their aptitude and never give up those so-called "poor students" easily. As Comenius said, "We can hardly find an obscure mirror that can reflect a field that can't reflect any image at all, and we can hardly find a rough template that is too rough to carve anything at all." I think only teachers' heartfelt love for education is difficult to obtain through systematic training. As educators, we should always remember that education can only be done well if we believe in it.

In teaching, it is not enough to only have love and belief in teaching, and educators also need to pay attention to teaching methods. Chapters 10 to 14 of the book demonstrate the necessity and possibility of reforming the old education. He believes that the reason for poor education is poor teaching methods, not the lack of human intelligence, nor the difficulty of subjects. The teaching methods he mentioned include educational methods and teaching organization, not just classroom teaching methods. Comenius described the general requirements of teaching and learning, the principles of convenience and thoroughness of teaching and learning, and the principles of simplicity and rapidity of teaching. After teaching for a month in the summer vacation, it is inevitable that the first time I go to the podium to teach will be green. Today, after reading On Great Teaching, I can't help but have some new thoughts, hoping to bring a better lesson to students when I step onto the podium again. The application of teaching methods in the teaching process needs the guidance of basic principles. I was deeply impressed by many excellent ideas put forward by Comenius in the book. These excellent ideas "consciousness", "intuition", "understanding" and "application" have been applied to teaching.

I think real education is the education of human soul, not just the accumulation of rational knowledge. The process of education is the process of meeting. In this encounter, we realized the unity of teaching and learning, knowing and doing in practice; Realize the interweaving, supplement and irrigation of the life rivers of teachers and students.

Education is an encounter, with students, with peers, with ourselves ... in this encounter, we try to light up students, each other and ourselves; In this encounter, education itself means that a tree shakes another tree, a cloud pushes another cloud, and a soul awakens another soul.
