Freedom and love are innate pursuits-Persepolis
What comes to mind when you mention Iran? Some people say: the Iran-Iraq war; Some people say: a woman wearing a black veil; Some people also mentioned the nuclear crisis. Indeed, the first time most people come into contact with Iran is the "Iran" in the news broadcast. It is associated with oil and terrorism, and it is a mysterious and dangerous country.

But what is the real life of the Iranian people now? I came across a picture of a pink mosque in Iran, which broke my stereotype of Iranian tradition. Women really need to wear headscarves, but they have lovely thoughts and show their personality with headscarves of different colors. Until I met Persepolis, this book made me see a different Iran and became interested in Iran.

Persepolis told the story of an Iranian girl, which has been made into a movie. The author marjane satrapi is an Iranian comic novel writer and illustrator, and has also published children's books. She also co-wrote and directed the Persepolis film version. Satabi's parents are both influenced by communism and socialism. In her childhood, she experienced political changes in Iran and the Iran-Iraq war. This book tells a series of stories about Iran's vigorous revolution from the perspective of children. The adults are terrified and the social atmosphere is tense, but the children are very excited.

The theme of the book mainly revolves around four themes: growth, affection, religion and politics. Although it tells the changes that took place in Iran during the Great Revolution from the perspective of a little girl, the truth is often more cruel behind the relaxed narrative.

Ma Jia lives in a democratic, relaxed and loving family, forming her simple, willful, true and rebellious character. She is keen on western rock and roll, and her words and deeds are bold ... My parents can't bear to watch her grow up in a distorted domestic school education, so they decided to send her to Europe. ?

The night before going to Europe, grandma gave her a piece of advice: in your life, you will meet many assholes. They hurt you because they are stupid. You don't have to respond to their malice. The worst thing in the world is inferiority and revenge. Always maintain self-esteem and honesty. It is undeniable that everyone's life will be accompanied by unpredictable pain at some point. The world won't wait for you to grow up. Only when you become strong can you protect yourself. But the most undesirable thing is to punish ourselves and retaliate against ourselves with other people's mistakes, which will often lead us to an irreparable abyss.

Trust is also a key word in this book. Parents' trust in their children often does not need any language, but only one look can give them infinite comfort. 14-year-old Ma Jia came to Vienna alone and was excluded and discriminated against. Optimistic Ma Jia tried to remain optimistic until one day she was betrayed by her only friend. After she was seriously ill, she called home. Ma Jia said to her father, "Dad, can I go home?" Dad replied without hesitation: "Yes!" The vest said, "Dad, please promise me not to ask me any questions." Dad replied without hesitation: "I promise." Mom grabbed the phone and said, "We promise that no one will ask you questions!" " "When I read this, I was deeply touched. My parents, Malikjia's parents, try their best to give me the best life, respect any choice I make, support all my decisions, never ask questions I don't want to answer, but always make me believe that no matter what happens, my home will always be open for me and they will always love me unconditionally. There is no better tacit understanding between parents and children.

In an interview, when the author was asked about his original intention, he said: "People always associate this great ancient civilization with fundamentalism, fanaticism and terrorism. As an Iranian who grew up in Iran, we know that this image is far from true. It is very important for me to create Persepolis. I believe that the whole country should not be judged by the bad behavior of a few extremists. "

For me, this is not only a little girl's growth story, but also the pursuit of love and freedom. Under the smoke and tyranny, vest still has a firm belief and pursues freedom and beauty. Even though her personal strength is so small, there is still beauty and hope in her heart that no suffering can destroy.
