Being a teacher is not just noble. From a realistic point of view, the advantage of being a teacher is very stable. As long as you can behave well and seize the opportunity, you can still make progress in school administration. The salary is basically ok (especially for higher education). If you are a senior teacher, you may be very tired and annoyed, but you have two fixed holidays, which are not available in most occupations.

Take some tutoring in your spare time, or take some remedial classes during the holidays (there are institutions outside to do this). If your grades are good, you may even be invited to class.
