There are two ways to execute the death penalty in China.

The prisoner usually dies of cardiac arrest within a few minutes.
How many days can you live if the death penalty is executed immediately?
The immediate execution of the death penalty can last for seven days. The intermediate people's court sentenced to death, to wait for the higher people's court review, the Supreme People's Court review. After the approval of the Supreme People's Court, the execution order will be issued.

On the one hand, we should publicize social justice, on the other hand, we should try our best to treat patients and save lives, except for violent crimes and drug crimes with subjective responsibility. The death penalty is only applicable to criminals with extremely serious crimes.
The death penalty is strictly controlled in the judicial department. Some countries sentence or execute only a few cases or one death penalty a year, and some countries even execute only one death penalty for several years. In countries that retain the death penalty, the situation is different. More and more countries tend to adopt a strict restrictive attitude towards the death penalty, one of which is to greatly reduce the provisions applicable to the death penalty in legislation and limit it to a few extremely serious crimes such as murder, treason and wartime crimes.
Legal basis:
Article 17 of the Regulations of People's Republic of China (PRC) Detention Center requires that criminals who have been sentenced to death but have not been executed should be equipped with instruments.
With the approval of the director of the detention center, prisoners who have facts that indicate that they may commit crimes, riots, escape or commit suicide may use mechanical equipment. In case of emergency, you can use it first and then report to the director of the detention center. After the above situation is eliminated, it shall be lifted.
