Reflections on the book "Culture of Incorrupt Government" 1 This week I read the book "Culture of Incorrupt Government", which taught me a lot about celebrities and a lot about being a man.
What impressed me the most was the short story "The Fox Watching the Warehouse" in the book. The story tells that the lion gave his warehouse to the fox, and the fox stole a fruit. When the lion found out the bad behavior of the fox, he turned his back on it.
After reading this article, I feel ashamed because it reminds me of what I did when I was on duty.
Every time it's my turn to be on duty, I feel depressed. Other students in the group will play every time they are on duty and don't sweep carefully. Nobody wants to take out the garbage. I can only take out the garbage silently, so it will get dark every time I go home on duty. Sweeping, I will find some pens and small gems in the corner. When there is no one around, I will put these treasures in my trouser pocket or quickly put them in my schoolbag, which has aroused my interest in duty.
After reading this book, I know this behavior is wrong. I am determined to get rid of this bad behavior. It also made me understand that although the mistakes are small, they will cause great harm when accumulated, and things that do not belong to me cannot be moved.
It is this book that has taught me how to be a man and inspired my interest in books.
On this day, I read Honesty and Self-cultivation, a book about teenagers' self-cultivation. After reading it, I was deeply educated, which made me understand the basic qualities that a good teenager must have: honesty and trustworthiness, diligence and thrift, modesty and courtesy, introspection and self-discipline, law-abiding ... Among them, what impressed me the most was honesty, trustworthiness and frugality. Because I think these three points are very important for teenagers.
Speaking of honesty, the story of Sima Guang selling horses in this book impressed me the most. Sima Guang was a minister and historian in the Northern Song Dynasty. He is knowledgeable and proficient in music, calendar and astronomy. This story tells that one day, Sima Guang wanted to sell his horse and told the buyer about its old problems. Speaking of which, people may think he is stupid, because in that case, the horse won't sell at a good price. However, I admire him for what he said. He said, "It's a trivial matter to sell a horse, but it's a big matter to tell people the truth." Honesty and trustworthiness are very important. "Hearing this sentence, you won't admire Sima Guang? I will. How precious is Sima Guang's honest quality. We should learn from this quality of Sima Guang, and we should have this good quality at home, at school and in society.
However, I found that there are still many people around me who haven't done it. For example, in our class, the teacher is commenting on the exercises and asking the students if they did it right. Some students clearly did something wrong, but told the teacher that they did it right, so that they would not lose face, even I would occasionally. However, after reading this book, I will never do such a stupid thing again. Isn't it? How hypocritical and ridiculous it is to avoid making mistakes in order to save face. What about you? Are you like me? You won't do it again, and you won't lie again. No matter how beautiful a lie is, it is still a lie, and you will eventually fail. So we should form the good habit of honesty, tell the truth, do honest things and be honest.
Speaking of which, I can't help thinking that some students in our class borrowed something from another student and promised to return it tomorrow, but those students delayed it for a day, a week, a month or even a semester ... What they said was credible, which was a serious breach of promise! Students, we should not only be honest, but also keep our word. Wang Anshi, a poet in the Song Dynasty, once said, "A word is worth more than a gold." This sentence means emphasizing words over sincerity, which shows the importance of keeping promises. Therefore, we should keep our promise. Consciously practice the promise.
As a good teenager, frugality is also a quality that should be possessed. Sima Guang said: "It is easy to go from frugality to extravagance, but difficult to go from extravagance to frugality." As an excellent teenager, we should know how to be frugal. At present, social progress and people's living standards have improved a lot, which makes people feel happy. With the improvement of living standards, as successors of the motherland, we should adhere to the traditional virtue of thrift. Our elders often teach us not to waste money, but I saw a classmate buy a can of soda, drink two-thirds of it and throw it into the trash can. He doesn't feel bad, I feel bad. Think about it, if a can of soda is three yuan, then one third of soda is one yuan, and wasting 10 thousand times is 10 thousand yuan. How nice it would be to donate this amazing amount to poor mountainous areas! If we continue to waste like that, even if the country is rich, it will sooner or later live in an open space, as poor and backward as the old society. Is this what you want? I understand that no one wants to, so we should cultivate the good quality of thrift.
In short, reading the book "Honesty and Self-discipline" has benefited me a lot. We are the successors of the motherland. Therefore, we should be honest, trustworthy and thrifty from an early age ... be a good teenager in the new era who knows honor and disgrace, cultivate a new atmosphere and be determined to take over and make contributions to the future of the country!
We should keep in mind the traditional virtues!
