Sakyamuni Buddha was framed by a woman as a well-known Buddha. He is not a character in a fairy tale, but actually lives on this earth. He was the prince of Kapilowei Kingdom in ancient India, and later gave up the throne and became a monk. After realizing the way of life in the universe, he completely taught himself the method of thoroughly proving the truth of the universe and life. This is the Buddhism that we can still learn today. When the Buddha was alive, Indians were hierarchical. The Buddha advocated the doctrine of the golden mean and equality, and even said that "all beings are equal to the Buddha." His education always touches the interest class. Therefore, people often try to frame him, and often use the most "effective" method-women, the more famous incident of using women to frame Buddha. When the Buddha was in Swasti, because of his great influence, the Brahman of the Acropolis bribed a woman named Zhan Gai to follow the followers of the Acropolis to listen to the Buddha. Seven or eight months later, she tied a small wooden basin to her underwear and pretended to be pregnant. One day, while the Buddha was talking on the throne, she suddenly stood up from the crowd and asked the Buddha, "Your eloquence is good, but now I want to ask you, since you and I are husband and wife, why haven't you built a delivery room for me?" You are a heartless person who abandoned me! "Hearing her say this, the audience, even those who don't have much faith, were shocked, but the Buddha sat on the throne with his eyes closed majestically. At this time, the wooden basin tied to the woman suddenly fell to the ground with a plop, and the vicious plot was exposed. She fled to the garden in shame, and the Buddha continued casually. Sincerely salute, there is no Sakyamuni Buddha in the south!
Kumarajiva, a master of transcendentalism, still achieved unprecedented success in breaking the ancient and modern commandments. He spoke at the age of six months, studied at the age of three, read widely at the age of five, became a monk at the age of seven, and was forced to break the precepts twice in his life and have children. He is gifted, proficient in many languages, a generation of outstanding wizards, and the two countries will not hesitate to fight for him; He doesn't touch mud, showing compassion for others. His translation has permanently influenced the development of Mahayana Buddhism in China. He is known as the father of eight schools of Buddhism in China. Without him, there would be no Mahayana Buddhism in China. He is a super scholar who shocked the world, and his achievements are unparalleled. He is a master of Kumarajiva, a generation of monks. Kumarajiva, a prodigy in heaven, has made great achievements in ancient and modern times. He was a monk at the end of Qin Dynasty, a famous Buddhist teacher, a world-famous thinker, philosopher and translator, and the ancestor of eight schools of Buddhism in China. His translation and achievements are great. The famous disciples are Daosheng, Daorong and the old monk, collectively known as the "Four Saints of Shimen". Kumarajiva (344-4 13) translated "the old woman in Kumarajiva", abbreviated as "Roche" and literally translated as "Tong Shou". Originally from Tianzhu, he was born in Kuqa, Western Region (now Kuqa, Xinjiang). His family background is prominent, and his ancestors are separated from each other. Kumarajiva was gifted at an early age. At the age of six months, I can speak, at the age of three, I can read, at the age of five, I read widely, and at the age of seven, I became a monk with my mother. I have traveled to Tianzhu, visited the famous teacher Dade, and studied the wonderful meaning. He is young, diligent and knowledgeable, and he knows it by heart. He is proficient in Sanskrit and Chinese, and also has deep attainments in Buddhism. Broadcom Mahayana Hinayana. He is the first mage of Sanzang. Together with Xuanzang, he is known as a great Buddhist translator, the originator of translation studies and the master of linguistics in China. According to historical records, in the early years of the People's Republic of China, Taizu Lu Guang came to Liangzhou, Gansu Province with Kumarajiva, a monk from the Western Regions, and Kumarajiva stayed in Liangzhou, Gansu Province for 17 years, propagating Buddhism and learning Chinese. After Qin Hongzhi entered Chang 'an in three years (40 1), he translated Prajna Sutra, Goblet of Fire, Vimalakīrti Sutra and Amitabha with his disciples in eleven years (409). A total of 94 volumes and 425 volumes of classics have been translated, among which "Three Theories" (Zhong Lun, Twelve Theories and Hundred Schools of Thought) are the main basis. Achievement theory is the main foundation of achievement school; Hokkekyo is the main basis of Tiantai Sect; Amitabha Sutra is one of the "Three Classics" that Pure Land Sect relies on. The incomparably famous Heart Sutra "Color is empty, and emptiness is color" was translated by Master Kumarajiva.
In order to rob the eminent monks of the two countries, prodigies were humiliated and broke the precepts after drinking. At the age of 65, 438+02, Kumarajiva stayed in Shule for more than a year, studied Adamo and Six-legged Theory, read Chinese Theory, Hundred Schools Theory and Twelve Schools Theory by Mahayana monk and Prince Suriye Sumo of shache, and read Ten Classics by Yeshefo. Ye She after Buddha has been translating Buddhist scriptures with him. After Roche returned to Qiuci, he studied Mahayana Sutra extensively and gave lectures on it, becoming a master of Chinese medicine. At that time, Todado went from a guest residence to Qiuci, and Luo Shixiao took Mahayana as his ancestral meaning, which convinced him. He is well-read and well-known in more than 30 countries in the Western Region. So Roche's reputation was greatly shaken by the neighboring countries in the western regions. Kumarajiva is not only charming in appearance, but also handsome in writing, which is first-class.
In order to compete for this monk, the former Qin and the later Qin waged two wars. In 382, Fu Jian sent Lv Guang to attack Yanqi, destroy Qiuci and hijack Kumarajiva to Kumarajiva Temple in Liangzhou, Hexi Corridor. Three years later, Yao Chang killed Fu Jian and destroyed the former Qin Dynasty, Lv Guang became independent in Liangzhou, and Kumarajiva and Lv Guang stayed together in Kumarajiva Temple in Liangzhou 16 ~ 17. As for the record of Kumarajiva's "breaking the precepts", The Collection of Three Monks of Chu is the same as the Biography of Becoming a Monk, but the characters are slightly different. According to the above two articles, two events related to Kumarajiva's "breaking the precepts" were quoted in Biography of the Eminent Monk. The first time was in the 20th year of Fujian Jianyuan (AD 384), after Lv Guang defeated Qiuci and won Kumarajiva. Light will break Qiuci, kill (white) purity, and establish purity as the main shock. Light gains nothing, but its wisdom is not measured. Seeing a small number of teeth is a mortal play. It is bitter to say that his wife is King Qiuci, but she refuses to accept it. Guang said, "The Taoist priest has done no more than my father. How can he be firm?" Is to drink and close the secret room. What is forced, it loses its integrity. In fact, Lv Guang is quite fatuous, so he has no eyes. After he caught Kumarajiva, he didn't find anything noteworthy. At that time, Kumarajiva was in his early thirties. Seeing that he was so young but handsome, Lv Guang pretended to be a mortal and forced Kumarajiva to marry his cousin Princess Qiuci. Kumarajiva refused, so Lv Guang designed and forced him to drink. After drinking, he and his cousin were locked in a secret room, so Kumarajiva broke the commandment. Not only that, Lv Guang deliberately let Kumarajiva ride a cow and a fierce horse, trying to get rid of him. But Kumarajiva put up with humiliation and had no complaints. Lv Guang also feel boring, had to stop. At that time, although Kumarajiva couldn't teach Buddhism, he didn't change his mind. He still devoted himself to learning Chinese until he mastered it, preparing for later missionary work. On another occasion, after the demise of the former Qin Dynasty, Yao Xing, the monarch of the latter Qin Dynasty, welcomed Luo Shi into Chang 'an and became a Buddhist. Roche hosted a huge translation field, translated a large number of Buddhist scriptures, and gained great achievements and prestige. Yao Xing regarded Roche as a "holy species" of wizards, and in order to "pass on the seeds to the next generation", he was afraid of breaking up and forced Roche to accept women. What is a clear-eyed person who stands out from the crowd? He should seize the opportunity, and few people talk about the horse's color change. Kind-hearted, loved by the heart, vain and seductive, tireless all day long. Master Yao often said: Master is smart and detached, and there is nothing else in the world. If there are descendants, how can he make the French species childless? So I was forced to accept it by ten prostitutes. Since then, I have never lived in a monk's workshop or run a school, so the supply is sufficient.
Yao Xing often lamented to Kumarajiva: "Master is brilliant, and he is a big talker, but you can't let the French breed be childless!" I always feel that it would be a great pity if Kumarajiva could not be left to future generations. In order to let him keep his "French descent", Yao Xing forced Kumarajiva to accept ten female geisha, not to let him live in the monk's workshop, start a new stove and treat him warmly. Lv Guang's forced marriage is a mockery in the final analysis, while Yao Xing's forced marriage can be regarded as a respect for ignorance. A peerless genius, such an opportunity is indeed a legend. The story of Kumarajiva's wife and children was widely translated by the classic Falun Gong in later generations. At that time, people talked about it in succession and gradually slandered it, which caused a shock among monks. Some people look down upon Master Kumarajiva, while some monks envy Roche's "good luck" and want to emulate it. Master Rush summoned all the monks, showed them a bowl full of silver needles, and said, "If you can swallow a bowl of silver needles like me, I will allow you to get married and keep a room. Otherwise, you can never learn from me. " Then eat a bowl of silver needles in front of everyone, and then take them out one by one. Seeing that Roche had such magical powers, the monks dared not follow suit and gave up their plans to get married. Kumarajiva is still uneasy. Every time he made a speech on the throne, he would say to everyone, "I was forced to get married and start a family." Although my behavior is the same as that of ordinary people, my spirit is beyond ordinary things. For example, although the lotus was born in Grimer, it can come out of the mud without being polluted. You should pick the fragrance of the lotus, but pick the flowers of the lotus, not the mud of the lotus. My abstinence will suffer, but if my translated classics go against the Buddha's intention, I will be thrown into hell. If the classics I translated do not violate the Buddha's nature, then my tongue will not rot after my body is cremated. "
Kumarajiva not only trained a large number of talents, but his greatest achievement was translating Buddhist scriptures. In the eleventh year, he and his disciples translated thirty-five books, 294 volumes, to Chang 'an from the third year of the late Qin Dynasty (40 1 year) and died in 41year. His translation is faithful to the original, fluent, elegant and unpretentious, which corrects the mistakes made by others in translating scriptures for 400 years and becomes the most widely circulated Buddhist classic in later generations. According to the Tales of Sanzang, there are 35 translations with 294 volumes, and according to Kaiyuan Buddhism, there are as many as 74 translations with 384 volumes. Roche is familiar with many languages, and his translation is fluent and concise, which has spread Mahayana Prajna Sutra and Chinese theory represented by Dragon Tree quite accurately. Prajna Sutra, Vimalakīrti Sutra, Amitabha Sutra, Meditation Samadha Sutra, Ten Chanting Methods, Great Wisdom Theory, China Theory, Hundred Schools Theory, Twelve Schools Theory, Ten Dwelling Theories, etc.
Since then, the immortal's eyes have returned to the fire, and his tongue will not rot. After printing the Buddha's heart, Kumarajiva died in Caotang Ancient Temple (Xi 'an Caotang Temple) on April 13th, 15th year of Qin Hongshi. Before he died, he told his disciples that his translation should be the criterion, not his life. For example, "Lotus is born in Grimer, so don't choose Grimer when picking lotus". His works include two volumes of Yao Xing's Realism; Answer 1 Yao Xing's theory of three connections; Hui Yuan's answer to the question: Mahayana Righteousness consists of 3 volumes 18. Later generations collected it and named it Mahayana Righteousness or Master Kumarajiva's Righteousness. Before his death, the master once said, "If there are more than 300 Buddhist scriptures, the original purpose will not be lost once the ten scriptures have not been deleted.". May all translated works be handed down to future generations. Now I swear honestly in front of everyone. If the story is correct, my tongue will not rot after I burn myself. " In 4 13, the master died, and his tongue didn't rot after burning! After the master died, he told his disciples to transport the burnt tongue to Kumarajiva Temple in Liangzhou (now Kumarajiva Temple in Wuwei, Gansu) for worship. The tongue relic is still there, the only monk in the world, who has witnessed the great achievements of the master. Sincerely pay tribute to Kumarajiva, heptachord and Sanzang!
Father Dharma was poisoned six times. Father Dharma called his disciples: "I originally came to preach Dharma, but now I am hated here. It is no good living in the world for a long time to make people commit crimes. " He is also the prince of the incense king of South Tianzhu in ancient India. He devoted himself to Mahayana and studied under Master Prajna Paramita. When he was over 0/00 years old, in the era of China and Liang Wudi, he came to China by boat from India to spread the seal of Buddha's heart and landed in Guangdong. The emperor asked him, and he did not give in to flattery, so he closed the cave behind Shaolin Temple. Although he has never competed with the world in his life, he has been framed many times. He was poisoned six times: the first time Dharma "spit out a liter of snake" after eating. The second poisoning, "(Master) sat on a big stone and the poison broke it." Five times later, when he was poisoned for the sixth time, he handed over the cassock handed down from the Buddha to Hui Ke, a disciple who had a broken arm to seek dharma, and said to Hui Ke, "I was poisoned by this poison, and there is nothing you can do." For the sixth generation of evangelists, life is at stake ... "Sincerely bow to Nanwu's dharma master!
The second ancestor Hui Ke was framed and persecuted to death. According to the guest words recorded in the Records of Cheng 'an County, Hebei Province, in the 13th year of Emperor Kai of Sui Dynasty (AD 593), Master Hui Ke came to Cheng 'an at the age of 65,438+007, and the audience from all directions was very large, and the monks in the crazy religion temple were fascinated. This grand occasion angered the jealous mage here. He went to the county government to slander Hui Ke, saying that he was "deviant, unconventional and spread heresy". Farmers returned farmland and merchants did not open accounts, which was a great hidden danger. "A magistrate Zhai Zhongkan listened to discrimination and false accusations, tortured and interrogated Hui Ke, listed the' Top Ten Crimes' and played them in court layer by layer. Later, it was approved by the court, and finally persecuted and beheaded a generation of masters. After Hui Ke was beheaded, the body shed white milk, and the flesh color was as usual. Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty regretted it after learning about it, and said: This is a true bodhisattva. The imperial edict re-investigated Hui Ke's murder, severely punished dereliction of duty officials, offered sacrifices to Hui Ke, and awarded Hui Ke the title of "Authentic Pujue Master". In the 16th year of Zhenguan, Emperor Taizong and Li Shimin sent Wei Chijingde as supervisor to build pagodas for Hui Ke Temple to protect cultural relics. Sincerely bow to the second ancestor, Master Hui Ke! Hui Neng, the sixth ancestor, was hunted and hid for sixteen years. According to the Tanjing, after Master Huineng gained the Tao, Master Hongren, the fifth ancestor, told him, "You must go quickly before people hurt you. "From then on, the owner began to live a life of being hunted, and later hid in the hunter pile 16 years. When the limelight was exhausted and the time was ripe, he appeared in front of the world to preach Buddhism. Sincerely pay tribute to master Huineng, the sixth ancestor! Xu Yun and a hundred-year-old monk were framed, detained and beaten. 1 12 years old, the abbot Yunmen Mountain Xueyuan Temple was falsely accused of hiding criminals. The whole temple 120 monks were surrounded. The monk Xu Yun was detained in the abbot's room, the door was sealed, the window was closed and he was deprived of food. After four times, he was beaten to death and his ribs were broken. The old monk closed his eyes and remained silent. According to the record: "After nightfall, the waiter visited the room and saw the old man lying in a pool of blood, so he helped him sit on the couch and waited on the soup. "The next day, the gang saw that he was not dead and beat him again. On April 15, the old man gradually fell down and became a lucky man. After a day and a night, nothing moved. The waiter tried his nose with his hand, but it was flat and his pulse stopped. He thought the old man was dead, but his temperature was normal and his face was calm. The next morning, I heard the old monk groan slightly and opened his eyes. The waiter was very surprised when he saw that the teacher was still alive. He immediately helped the teacher sit up and told him that he had been meditating for eight days ... "The old monk Xu Yun 1 12 years old, was tortured and came back from the dead, which shows his spiritual realm. Afterwards, he wrote a poem to express his feelings about the difficulties of the world: sitting and reading the five emperors and four dynasties, I didn't feel many vicissitudes; I have suffered a lot and know that things change. Without suffering, you cannot become a Buddha. Through these stories of great monks and virtues in past dynasties, we have a deeper understanding of how difficult it is to talk about Buddhism in the world of bodhisattvas. If it weren't for the return of Bodhisattva, it would be difficult to stand on its feet. We can see classics and three treasures, and we should cherish them more. Swear to protect the dharma, repay the Buddha's grace, wear it and practice it diligently. It is widely said by others that the dharma will never stop! Pray for all truth, goodness, knowledge and dharma, good health, long-term living in the world, eliminating suffering and spreading Buddhism without hindrance.
