The Research Center for Innovation and Development of Basic Education adopts the mode of combining project-driven and task-driven, focusing on improving the scientific and technological innovation ability and comprehensive competitiveness of the basic education, information technology, culture and science and technology industries in Central China Normal University, focusing on "Internet+education", focusing on the standardization construction of brand schools, the curriculum reform of basic education, comprehensive and systematic teaching evaluation, and the promotion project of outstanding teachers. At the same time, the research center will strengthen the research on the reform of basic education concepts. The research center for innovation and development of basic education has four regular functions: research and innovation of basic education, promotion and innovation of co-sponsoring school governance, evaluation of basic education, and research on the creation and dissemination of brand schools. The organizational structure of the center is divided into advisory Committee and expert Committee. Xing, former deputy director of the State Education Commission, governor of the Ministry of Education, former president of Wuhan University and director of the academic committee of Huazhong Normal University, served as the center consultant.
