According to official website of Weifang Institute of Technology, Weifang Institute of Technology is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, which was founded in 2005.

The school has Qingzhou Campus, the main campus, and Weifang Campus, the central campus, with a total area of 1.700 mu and a construction area of more than 800,000 square meters. The School of Economics and Management in Qingzhou Campus also belongs to Weifang Institute of Technology and is an undergraduate major.
