On the Relationship between Education and Culture
Culture plays a restrictive role in education.

(1) Culture influences the establishment of educational purposes. For example, "University" talks about self-cultivation, governing the country, and leveling the world, regardless of the rise and fall of the world, every man is responsible. From these words, we can see that the educational purpose of our country is to serve the country, so culture will affect the establishment of educational purpose;

(2) Culture influences the choice of educational content. For example, our country emphasizes collectivism, so most of the content is to cultivate our unity and cohesion, while individualism prevails in western countries and pays more attention to personal interests;

(3) Culture influences the use of teaching methods. For example, the teaching method widely used in primary and secondary schools in China stems from our idea of respecting teachers and valuing Taoism since ancient times, while the discussion method is more used in the west because they pay more attention to the idea of democracy and equality;
