Two. Brief introduction of Fujian Forestry Vocational and Technical College
Fujian Forestry Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college sponsored by Fujian Provincial People's Government and headed by Fujian Provincial Department of Education. College was founded in 1953, with a long history of 64 years. In the practice of running a school, the college insists on actively adapting to the needs of the society, being brave in pioneering and constantly innovating, and has formed distinctive school-running characteristics and advantages.
First, the school has a good reputation. The college is now the first batch of national demonstration backbone higher vocational colleges, national advanced vocational education units, national first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units, national greening demonstration units, the first batch of educational informatization pilot colleges of the Ministry of Education, national advanced collective of employment and entrepreneurship in forestry colleges, and Class A training project college of Fujian demonstration modern vocational colleges. 20 16 and 20 17 were selected as the top 100 vocational colleges in China for two consecutive years. In the Annual Report on the Potential of Higher Education Institutions in Fujian Province (20 16) published by the Provincial Department of Education, the number of advantageous majors in colleges ranks first in higher vocational colleges in the province.
Second, the school conditions are superior. The college is located in Nanping City, with "one school and two districts", namely Tianlin Campus and Jiangnan Campus. The campus covers an area of 978 mu, including 452 mu in Tianlin Campus and 526 mu in Jiangnan Campus, with a construction area of 200,000 square meters. There are 2 national training bases, 5 provincial productive training bases, 1 academician expert workstation,1enterprise expert workstation, 12 teacher workstation, 1 1 5 experimental training room, and 2 1 campus production. The total value of fixed assets is 285 million yuan, the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is more than 70 million yuan, and there are 560,000 books. The student apartment has a separate bathroom and shower room, both equipped with water heaters and air conditioners, and the campus wireless wifi is fully covered. The campus is full of flowers, green trees, green grass, thick green and beautiful scenery.
Third, the quality of running a school is outstanding. The college takes full-time higher vocational education as the main body, co-organizes applied undergraduate courses with undergraduate colleges and five-year higher vocational schools, and actively explores the construction of a modern vocational education system of "secondary vocational-higher vocational-applied undergraduate courses". Students won 56 first prizes, 67 second prizes and 70 third prizes in the skill competition of vocational colleges in Fujian Province, ranking among the best in the province.
Fourth, teachers are strong. There are 327 faculty members in the college, including professors 14, full-time teachers with associate high school education or above accounting for 42.4%, master education or above accounting for 6 1.2%, and double-qualified teachers accounting for 88.6%. At present, it has a national teaching team 1 person, a distinguished academician 1 person, a national "New Century Million Talents Project" 1 person, a special allowance expert of the State Council 1 person, a member of the expert committee of the National Sustainable Development Experimental Zone 1 person, and a cross-century academic and technical leader of the State Forestry Administration/kloc. 5. Graduates have a smooth way out. The college organizes dozens of campus job fairs every year to provide multiple employment opportunities for each graduate. Among them, graduates majoring in forestry technology and landscape technology can apply for administrative institutions in our province. The average employment rate of graduates is over 98%, the average signing rate is over 72%, the average counterpart employment rate is over 85%, and the average starting salary is over 3,000 yuan. Graduates are highly praised and recognized by employers with their distinctive characteristics of "getting down, staying and using well". Huang Ripeng, a graduate, was selected as an entrepreneurial hero by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League 100. Wang Jiandi was awarded the title of "Top Ten Graduates of National Forestry", and Chen, Chen and Weng Xiaoyu were awarded the title of "Outstanding Graduates of National Forestry". The college was rated as an advanced unit of employment and entrepreneurship in national forestry colleges and an "excellent" grade college of employment evaluation in Fujian Province. Graduates can either take the "College Entrance Examination" directly in our province and be admitted to undergraduate colleges, or take the self-taught undergraduate education in Jimei University, Fujian Normal University and Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, so as to graduate from this college at the same time. You can also apply for exemption to attend undergraduate colleges in Taiwan Province Province and get a bachelor's degree and a bachelor's degree. 6. Extensive international cooperation and exchanges. Relying on "Foreign Aid Training Project of Ministry of Commerce", "Southern Training Base of China-Japan Forestry Ecological Training Center Project" and "Forestry and Landscape Teachers Training Center of Fujian and Taiwan Higher Vocational Colleges", the College has successively cooperated with Japan to set up 13 Sino-Japanese forestry ecological training courses, and has undertaken four 3 1 Asia sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce with12/state affairs. Taking advantage of the cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan, the college signed cooperation agreements with Zhongzhou University of Science and Technology in Taiwan Province Province and South Asia Institute of Technology in Taiwan Province Province, adopted the mode of "school-school-enterprise" to jointly train technical and technical talents, introduced the courses and teaching materials of universities in Taiwan Province Province, hired teachers from cooperative universities in Taiwan Province Province to jointly train students, and sent students to universities in Taiwan Province Province in batches, becoming the first batch of pilot colleges in China to connect vocational college graduates with universities in Taiwan Province Province, forming short-term learning, cooperative education and "3+".
