Pingyang Vocational Education Center, a national key school, a national youth science popularization innovation demonstration school and a key school with artistic characteristics in Zhejiang Province, was founded in 1995, formerly known as Aojiang Town Senior Vocational Middle School in Pingyang County, located at Huayuan West Road (Xiqiao) in Aojiang Town, Pingyang County, Zhejiang Province. The school covers an area of 160 mu, with a construction area of 50,000 square meters and a total investment of more than 80 million yuan. It is the largest one in Wenzhou, integrating full-time art high school, comprehensive high school, "3+2" specialized class, vocational secondary school and modern distance education. It is upgraded to undergraduate course, with a total of 5,000 students (trainees). (2011September, Pingyang Vocational Education Center was acquired by the government.
