According to the Regulations on the Administration of Undergraduate Specialty Setting in Colleges and Universities promulgated and implemented by the Ministry of Education and the Notice of the Ministry of Education on Publishing the Examination and Approval Results of Undergraduate Specialty Filing in Colleges and Universities in 20 17 (J [2018] No.4), in 20 17, the Ministry of Education newly filed 83 undergraduate majors and approved 6544 undergraduate majors. At present, 3242 specialty points (including 12 second bachelor's degree and long-term plan) of 343 undergraduate majors set up in 68 universities in the province have been approved by the Ministry of Education. The catalogue of undergraduate majors in colleges and universities in the province for 20 18 years (hereinafter referred to as the catalogue) is now published.

Undergraduate majors published in the catalogue can be enrolled on 20 18, and the professional name, professional code, length of study and degree-granting category shall be subject to the published contents. Colleges and universities may not arrange enrollment without the approval of the Ministry of Education or the unpublished majors in the catalogue. The provincial undergraduate colleges and universities should take the contents published in the Catalogue as the standard in printing and distributing enrollment brochures, compiling enrollment plans, making teaching plans, managing student status and issuing graduation certificates.

Colleges and universities should attach great importance to professional reform and construction, especially for newly established majors, increase investment, focus on strengthening the construction of teaching staff, professional teaching resources, experimental training bases and other professional conditions for running schools, strengthen self-examination and evaluation of newly established majors, and strive to improve the level of running schools and the quality of personnel training. Our bureau will organize a special evaluation of undergraduate majors in a timely manner for newly established majors.
