The Basic Education Branch of Beijing Normal University Press undertakes the research and development of basic education textbooks and their supporting products.

At the end of 2004, Beijing Normal University Press made institutional adjustment and established the Basic Education Division on the basis of the original Basic Education Textbook Department. A total of 13 varieties of basic education curriculum standard experimental textbooks have passed the examination and approval of the Ministry of Education, and the branch school is actively trying to improve the textbook system.

Beijing Normal University Press has spared no effort to recruit famous artists and create excellent works, and has published a number of books such as Qigong Lecture, A Dream of Red Mansions (proofreading edition), History of Chinese Mathematics, General History of China Art, and Classic Collection of 20th Century Global Literature.

Great Dictionary of Psychology, Kangxi Dictionary, Complete Works of Zhu Zhixian, Complete Works of Wang Zengqi, Collected Works of Lin Jinlan, Research Series of Educational Economics, Research on the Trend of World Curriculum Reform, Library of Contemporary Philosophers in China and Library of Contemporary Historians in China have formed strong academic influence and social radiation.
