Recently, the website of the Ministry of Education published the "Measures for the Annual Report on the Development of Art Education in Primary and Secondary Schools" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures"). The Measures require that the annual report on the development of school art education focus on the construction of art courses, the allocation of art teachers, the management of art education, the investment of art education funds, facilities and equipment, extracurricular art activities, the campus cultural and artistic environment, the promotion of key projects, and the implementation of the self-evaluation system of school art education in primary and secondary schools.

Article 1 These Measures are formulated to establish and improve the management mechanism of school art education and promote the standardized development of school art education.

Article 2 The local education administrative departments at all levels shall comprehensively summarize the art education work in local primary and secondary schools (including full-time primary schools, junior high schools, ordinary senior high schools and secondary vocational schools) every year, and compile the annual report on the development of school art education.

Article 3 The annual report on the development of school art education focuses on the construction of art courses, the allocation of art teachers, the management of art education, the investment of funds and facilities for art education, extracurricular art activities, the campus cultural and artistic environment, the promotion of key projects, and the implementation of the self-evaluation system for art education in primary and secondary schools.

Article 4 The annual report on the development of school art education shall adopt a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, pay attention to collecting information comprehensively and objectively, analyze and judge according to data and facts, sum up achievements, refine experiences, analyze problems and propose improvement measures.

Article 5 The education administrative department of each county (district, city) shall submit the annual report on the development of school art education in this county (district, city) to the education administrative department of the prefecture (city) before the end of 10 every year. The local (state, city) education administrative departments shall submit the annual report on the development of school art education in their respective regions (states, cities) to the provincial education administrative departments before the end of each year1/kloc-0. The provincial education administrative departments shall submit the annual report on the development of school art education to the Ministry of Education before the end of each year 12.

Article 6 The Ministry of Education entrusts a third party to study and analyze the relevant information submitted by various provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and compile and publish the Annual Report on the Development of Art Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in China.

Article 7 These Measures shall be implemented as of the date of promulgation.
