Shanghai Conservatory of Music: The predecessor of Shanghai Conservatory of Music was the National Conservatory of Music co-founded by the great democratic revolutionist, outstanding educator and thinker Mr. Cai Yuanpei and the music educator Dr. Xiao on June 27th, 1927+065438. The first dean was Mr Cai Yuanpei. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), 1956 was named Shanghai Conservatory of Music.
