Adult education, also known as adult continuing education, is a form of education different from full-time general higher education. Adult education is not limited by age and sex. Through this educational process, people who are regarded as adults in society can increase their abilities, enrich their knowledge, improve their technical and professional qualifications, or turn them to a new direction, thus changing their attitudes and behaviors in two aspects: their all-round development and their participation in the balanced and independent development of social economy and culture.
There are four main forms of adult education and academic qualification certification: adult college entrance examination (full-time and amateur study, including correspondence and evening university), higher education self-study examination (self-study examination), radio and television university (modern distance open education of TV University) and distance education (network education).
Adult Education Admission: You don't need to take the national unified college entrance examination in June every year, but after September every year, the national education department will organize a special "National Unified Examination for Enrollment of Adult Colleges and Universities (hereinafter referred to as Adult College Entrance Examination)", but you don't need to take the national higher education self-study examination.
The four forms of adult education are also quite different in terms of admission, curriculum, graduation years, charging standards, degree awarding, and class methods. In colleges and universities, this part of the work belongs to "Continuing Education College of xxx College" or "Adult Higher Education College of xxx College".
Note: All the above qualifications of adult higher education are recognized by the state, but on the letter website of the Ministry of Education, students' status and academic qualifications can be found in open education, adult college entrance examination and distance education of RTVU, and only academic qualifications can be found in self-taught examination, but there is no academic qualifications.
