The Examination Center of the Ministry of Education, a public institution directly under the Ministry of Education, was established in 1998, which mainly undertakes the special duties and tasks of educational examination.

The examination center of the Ministry of Education was formerly the examination management center of the State Education Commission, which was established in 1987 and renamed as the examination center of the State Education Commission in 1990. 1998 the state education commission was renamed the Ministry of education, and the former examination center of the state education commission was established as the current examination center of the Ministry of education.
