Huizhou Special School is the first comprehensive special education boarding school in Huizhou, which integrates cultural education, vocational education and rehabilitation education. It is directly managed by the Municipal Education Bureau. To undertake nine-year compulsory education for students with visual and hearing impairment and students with intellectual disabilities in Huicheng District and Zhong Kai District. The school covers an area of 23,659 square meters with a building area of15,605 square meters. At present, there are 27 classes with a total of 305 students, including visually impaired students 14, hearing impaired students 164, mentally retarded students 127, and faculty 107. The school is an advanced unit of special education in Guangdong Province, a safe and civilized campus in Guangdong Province and a training base for special education teachers in Huizhou City.
