Changsha Education Examinations Institute was formerly the office of the Admissions Committee of Changsha Colleges and Universities. 1986 co-located with the office of Changsha Higher Education Self-taught Examination Committee, with two sets of brands for the outside world and one set of people for the inside, mainly undertaking the three major tasks of Changsha College Entrance Examination, Self-taught Examination and Postgraduate Entrance Examination.

65438-0994 With the approval of higher authorities, the College Admissions Office of Changsha College Admissions Committee merged with Changsha Higher Education Self-taught Examination Office, and was renamed as Changsha Higher Education Self-taught Examination Committee Office. The brand of Changsha Higher Education Self-study Examination Office has been preserved, which is mainly responsible for the national planned college entrance examination, the national self-study examination for higher education with recognized academic qualifications, and the organization of postgraduate entrance examination.

In 2004, with the approval of the higher authorities, the Adult College Admissions Office of Changsha Education Bureau was merged into the Office of Changsha College Admissions Examination Committee and renamed as Changsha Education Examinations Institute. The brand of the office of the College Entrance Examination Committee of Changsha City is still retained, and it is responsible for the college entrance examination, adult college entrance examination, self-study examination, postgraduate entrance examination, public English examination system, CET-4 and CET-6, and national computer grade examination in Changsha City.
