Macro process: instructional design
Instructional design is a macroscopic process, covering the planning and development of the whole curriculum or educational project. It involves the setting of course objectives, the analysis of learners' needs, the choice of teaching methods, the choice of teaching materials, the formulation of evaluation strategies and many other aspects. The goal is to ensure the expected teaching effect, which usually requires in-depth research, careful analysis, curriculum innovation and continuous evaluation.
Concrete embodiment: teaching plan
Teaching plan is the concrete embodiment of teaching design, which plans the implementation process of one or more classes in detail. Including teaching objectives, teaching contents, teaching methods, time arrangement, teaching materials and resources, evaluation methods, etc. The purpose of teaching plan is to help educators better impart knowledge and achieve learning goals in the classroom, so it is usually a plan that needs to be implemented in a short time.
Different responsibilities
Although teaching design and teaching plan are closely related, their responsibilities are different. Instructional design pays more attention to overall planning and strategy formulation, involving the whole course or project. Teaching plan is a concrete implementation plan of teaching design, which guides the progress of a single class. Understanding their relationship will help us to use them better in educational practice and ensure the effectiveness of teaching activities and the realization of goals.
