Lingnan Teachers College, referred to as "Lingnan Teachers College", is located in Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. It is a full-time undergraduate college, a newly established master's degree authorized construction unit in Guangdong Province, a national "Hundred Schools Project" construction unit, the chairman unit of the Guangdong Special Education Teachers Development Alliance, and the first batch of social work professional training bases of the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

The history of Lingnan Teachers College can be traced back to Leiyang College, which was founded in 1636. 1903 school was transformed into Leiyang middle school, and 1904 began normal education. 1935 was renamed as Guangdong Leizhou Teachers College, and 1978 was officially transformed into Leizhou Teachers College.
