Personally, I think we must grasp the following points to do a good job in ideological and political work for college students:
First, we should attach importance to and grasp the needs of college students. We don't need to force students to do things they don't need or care about. What students need and care about, such as personal development, the improvement of the quality of the whole people, paying attention to some social hot issues and grasping the needs of students, can be welcomed by everyone.
Second, we should take care of the characteristics of college students. My biggest feeling is that the speed of social development is very fast, and the changes and differences between students from one session to another are also great. Therefore, we must take care of the characteristics of students and adopt a way that most students like and accept. For example, social practice, military training, some original music competitions, quality development training and so on.
Thirdly, it is of great theoretical and practical significance to instill new ideas, raise awareness and grasp the position and role of strengthening and improving ideological and political education for college students. In my opinion, to truly implement the "Theory of Three Represents", the key lies in people and the hope lies in young college students. Because only when college students become talents in an all-round way and their ideological and political qualities are constantly improved can we conscientiously implement the Party's basic theory, basic line, principles and policies, develop advanced productive forces and build advanced culture, and better realize and safeguard the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people, thus putting Theory of Three Represents into practice. Therefore, it is the premise for us to practice Theory of Three Represents to cultivate college students into new socialist people with ideals, morality, education and discipline. The prerequisite of this premise is that college students must accept the ideas and understanding that our party adheres to.
The second is to innovate education and constantly improve the humanization, personalization, differentiation and pertinence of ideological and political work in colleges and universities.
Contemporary college students are active in thinking, have a wide range of channels to receive information, are sensitive to all kinds of knowledge and social thoughts, and have relatively independent subjective analysis and judgment ability. Comparatively speaking, our ideological and political work needs further improvement and innovation in both content and method. Because this is determined by the current social environment and other factors, the current ideological and political education in colleges and universities is facing many new situations, new problems and new challenges, which need to be highly valued by all parties. With the further development of China's market economy, the independence, selectivity, variability and difference of people's ideological activities are obviously enhanced due to the increasing diversification of social and economic components, organizational forms, material interests and employment methods. In addition, in the process of social development in China, there have also been some problems, such as corruption and unfair distribution of social income. Although these problems are individual, their influence on our ideological and political education cannot be ignored.
Especially the new development of network technology has brought new problems to college students' ideological and political education. According to the 14th Statistical Report on Internet Development in China issued by China Internet Network Information Center, as of June 30, 2004, the total number of Internet users in China has reached 87 million. The proportion of college students surfing the Internet has reached 65.438+0.2 million, and more than 50% students in Beijing universities spend more than two hours online every day, far exceeding the time of ideological and political education classes. Network is a double-edged sword for ideological and political work in colleges and universities. On the one hand, it can help teachers and students interact, thus greatly mobilizing students' curiosity and imagination, and giving full play to students' initiative and autonomy in acquiring knowledge. On the other hand, there are a lot of bad information and wrong values and cultural concepts on the internet, which further causes some people to misunderstand the principles and policies of our party and country and affects the establishment of young students' correct world outlook and outlook on life.
In this way, the traditional way of ideological education is too limited, and our education has obvious defects. At present, the most prominent problem in talent training is to replace "teaching students in accordance with their aptitude" with a model and a requirement. Therefore, we should respect students' interests, specialties and hobbies, and establish a diversified and personalized talent training model. All-round development is definitely not equal to average development. Of course, our ideological and political work should be diversified, personalized and targeted. For example, vigorously strengthening the construction of mass organizations should be an effective way. A community is an "interest community" composed of students with the same or similar interests. They have a common language and are easy to resonate. Community activities can cultivate sentiment, improve personality and personal realm. I hope everyone will take part in more club activities in the future. At present, there are more than a dozen clubs in our school, and the activities of club culture month are held every year, which has achieved good results and has been welcomed by the majority of students.
Third, care for students with affection, help students overcome economic and psychological difficulties, and pay attention to the construction of team concept and the harmonious development of classes.
Because children are far away from their parents in college, the world outlook has not yet been fully formed, and there are many temptations in society, so they will be confused and have great difficulties. At this time, teachers' care, help and support are very needed. If you really care about them, it is very important for the growth of students to understand their difficulties in time and solve them. It should be said that most of the current college students are only children, and there is a certain deviation between their psychological endurance and their objective understanding of the problem. Therefore, colleges and universities should establish psychological counseling and education centers for college students, conduct psychological surveys on all freshmen every year, and form an effective screening, intervention, tracking and control mechanism. The results of the annual census do reflect that the psychological problems of contemporary college students can not be ignored, mainly focusing on freshmen's adaptation problems, study problems, interpersonal problems, love and sex problems, personality and emotion problems, neurosis, personal development problems and so on, which require us to strengthen our work in a targeted manner. A survey was conducted in relevant universities, and 84% of students agreed to strengthen mental health education among college students. Ma Jiajue's problem, I personally think this is an extreme case, and it can't completely deny the basic quality of contemporary college students. However, this provides us with a good negative teaching material, which makes us pay more attention to the mental health education of young college students.
Because of my college experience, our classes at that time were a very scattered group. Looking back now, the whole university life is not worth much nostalgia, but it is a pity. When I took over the class (this is my first time as a head teacher), I made up my mind to let my students live a very meaningful college life in college, to strengthen team building, to make the relationship between the classmates develop harmoniously, and to make them not regret and not repeat my mistakes. This is the original intention of wholeheartedly urging me to work hard as a class teacher.
Finally, I think the ideological and political education of college students is a systematic project, which can not be achieved by universities alone, but also needs the common improvement of our society, our primary and secondary schools and our family education. Therefore, the ideological and political education of college students is something that our whole society should care about.
