What is the law in Britain that stipulates the implementation of a unified national curriculum and a unified examination system?
1988 education reform law.

It is divided into four parts and 238 articles. The first part of "schools" includes five chapters: curriculum, admission methods, funds and personnel, directly subsidized public schools and others. The second part is "higher education and continuing education"; The third part is "Education in inner london"; The fourth part is "other supplementary clauses and explanations".

Compared with the previous education law, there are mainly four fundamental reforms:

1, set up a national unified curriculum called "national curriculum". It is stipulated that primary and secondary schools should offer 10 basic subjects at the compulsory education stage (5 years old to 16 years old), namely, mathematics, English, science, history, geography, technology (including design), music, art, physical education and modern foreign languages (limited to middle schools), among which mathematics, English and science are the core subjects.

Religious education is still a compulsory course. At the stage of compulsory education, students are required to take four national unified examinations at the age of seven, namely 1 1, 14 and 16. ?

2. Expand students' right to choose schools. It is stipulated that parents have the right to choose schools for their children and are free to choose schools in their own region or other regions. Schools should recruit students openly, and better schools should recruit as many students as possible according to conditions and encourage competition between schools.

3. Decentralization of school fund management. It is stipulated that all secondary and primary schools with more than 200 students have the right to decide the use of funds by themselves.

4. Liberate some schools from the control of local education authorities. Schools have the right to apply to leave the local education authorities and become schools directly funded by the Ministry of Education and Science. It is a major reform of the British education system established after the promulgation of the 1944 Education Act.
