Provisions on Preventing and Handling Academic Misconduct in Colleges and Universities: the Cornerstone of Academic Integrity
In order to maintain academic integrity and promote the development of academic innovation, we have formulated the Regulations on the Prevention and Handling of Academic Misconduct in Colleges and Universities. The purpose of this regulation is to effectively prevent and seriously deal with academic misconduct in colleges and universities, and to ensure the establishment and effective operation of the academic integrity system.

Definition of academic misconduct

Academic misconduct refers to acts that violate recognized academic norms and academic integrity, including but not limited to plagiarism, misappropriation of other people's academic achievements, tampering with other people's research achievements, forging scientific research data, materials, documents and notes.

Responsibility of colleges and universities

As the main body responsible for preventing and handling academic misconduct, colleges and universities need to establish and improve relevant mechanisms and clarify the division of responsibilities. Academic Committee plays a vital role in the construction of study style, and it should be supported and guaranteed to perform its duties according to law.

The importance of academic integrity

Please strictly abide by academic integrity, academic norms, respect and protect the intellectual property rights and other legitimate rights and interests of others. Academic integrity is the foundation of academic prosperity and development, and it is also one of the core values of colleges and universities.

Give priority to prevention and combine education with punishment.

We adhere to the principle of putting prevention first and combining education with punishment. The Ministry of Education, relevant departments of the State Council and provincial education departments are responsible for formulating relevant policies and supervising the construction of academic atmosphere in colleges and universities. At the same time, the system of notification and information disclosure of academic misconduct in colleges and universities should be established to ensure the establishment and effective operation of academic integrity system.
