The policy of extra points for college entrance examination is aimed at special students in college entrance examination, which is mainly formulated to make up for some defects in the enrollment system of colleges and universities, and is a measure to encourage students to pay attention to improving their overall quality.

The policy of extra points for the 2009 college entrance examination issued by the Ministry of Education has three forms of extra points: "20 points for filing", "0/0 points for filing/kloc" and "merit-based admission".

Increase by 20 points

This year's high school graduates are divided into the following categories:

Outstanding deeds in the ideological and moral aspects of senior secondary education, commended by party committees and governments at or above the provincial level;

Candidates who have won the first prize in the provincial-level division of the National Olympic Competition for Middle School Students or the first, second and third prizes in the national finals of senior secondary education;

Those who won the first and second prizes in the National Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition in the stage of senior secondary education (including the national youth biological and environmental science practice activities), the "Little Scientist of Tomorrow" award activity and the national computer production activities in primary and secondary schools;

Winners of international science and engineering grand prix or international environmental research project Olympic competition in high school education;

Candidates who have won the title of national first-class athlete in senior secondary education, those who have won the top six in major international sports competitions, national sports games, national middle school sports games and world middle school sports competitions, and those who have won the title of national second-class athlete in the above competitions must be uniformly recognized by the provincial education examinations institute.

Add 10 point.

Candidates include ethnic minority candidates, returned overseas Chinese and their children, children of overseas Chinese, candidates from Taiwan Province Province and children of martyrs.
