According to the land laws of the United States 1785 and 1787, the government gives a certain amount of public land to the newly joined states, and each state can start schools from the public land with land tax. In the Constitution and constitutional amendments, the right to education obviously belongs to local governments (mainly states). All these encourage and support the enthusiasm of each state to manage its own education. In addition, the Constitution stipulates the freedom of religious belief, which makes American education get rid of the control of the church and has a great influence on the modern academic system with American characteristics.
