Shijiazhuang Vocational and Technical College of Posts and Telecommunications is the only directly affiliated institution of higher learning of China Post Group Corporation, the Party School of China Post Group Corporation, the Training Center of China Post Group Corporation, the National Center of China Post Network College, the Postal College of the National Open University and the China Post Science and Technology Service Support Base.

College was established in1956; 1997, the college was identified by the Ministry of Education as the key construction school of the National Model Higher Engineering College; On April 7, 2003, with the approval of the Hebei provincial government and the record of the Ministry of Education, "Shijiazhuang Post College" was transformed into "Shijiazhuang Vocational and Technical College of Posts and Telecommunications".

In 2007, China Post was separated from the government, and the college was placed under the management of China Post Group Corporation.
