(1) Basic responsibilities

To study and formulate county-wide education policies and regulations, inspect and supervise the implementation of education guidelines, policies and laws and regulations, and implement the strategic position of giving priority to education development.

To study and formulate all kinds of educational development plans in the county, rationally adjust the layout of schools, and examine and approve the establishment of public and private schools within the authority prescribed by provinces and cities;

Responsible for the guidance and management of compulsory education, preschool education, senior high school education, vocational and technical education, special education, adult education and private education in the county. Organize the supervision and evaluation of the balanced development of compulsory education and the popularization of high school education; Manage the teaching staff according to law and be responsible for the implementation of the teacher qualification system;

Responsible for the budget and final accounts of education funds, and supervise the collection, management and use of education funds according to law; Responsible for organizing and guiding the entrance examinations of all kinds of schools at all levels in the county.
