Shaoguan University is a full-time general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education, which integrates eleven disciplines, including science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, literature, law, history, economics, management, teaching and art. Shaoguan College, formerly known as Shaoguan Teachers College, was founded in July 1958. 1999 In July, Shaoguan Teachers College merged with Shaoguan University organized by Shaoguan Municipal People's Government, and in February, 1990 was named Shaoguan University; In March 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), Shaoguan University merged with Shaoguan Education College organized by Shaoguan Municipal People's Government, upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Shaoguan College; In May, 20021year, it became the construction unit awarded master's degree in Guangdong Province.
