Orff's introduction
Carl orff was born in an artistic soldier family in Munich1July, 895. Influenced by the family environment, carl orff became interested in music and drama from an early age, which laid the foundation for him to become a musical master. Orff is basically a self-taught master. From youth to youth, he studied the works of masters through self-study, and stubbornly sought his own unique artistic expression language in the process of constantly exploring the styles of masters: "that kind of" wild "music and drama with primitive nature". He never confined himself to a certain major or discipline, such as composition, conductor, drama, dance, etc. He paid great attention to and studied with great enthusiasm.
Orff's works
The experiment of "Military Special School" has attracted the attention of many educators because of touring performances at home and abroad and demonstrations of teaching methods at various international conferences, which has effectively promoted the development of music education thought.
1932
A work symbolizing the revolution of music education-Orff's textbook-children's music, children's music-folk songs has been ready to be published, but due to political and historical reasons, this publishing plan has run aground. Orff decided to leave music education and concentrate on composing music.
1937
/kloc-The musical "Carmena Branna", a poetry manuscript of the 4th century, achieved his breakthrough. At the age of 42, he has created many exploratory works before, but he called this breakthrough the beginning of his "complete works".
1935 to 1942
Orff's three masterpieces came out: Ka mana Brana 1934- 1937, Moon 1937- 1939, and Clever Woman 194 1-65438. Orff's pursuit of "complete drama" since his youth-an art that leads to humanism, seeks primitiveness and integrates music, dance and drama-is reflected in these three works, which makes him mature in the creation of "complete drama" or the whole art and forms a real Orff style. It also embodies Orff's original music education principles and ideas.
1948 to 1949
Antigone, a work integrating music, dance and drama, uses four pianos, 59 percussion instruments and human voices in the accompaniment band, which embodies the oldest myth-the combination of the sun god and the moon god, which is only a natural combination of softness, health and beauty. This work established his reputation as a world composer. The techniques he used in professional composition, like his music education, are outstanding rhythm factors. He constantly uses a certain fixed sound pattern as the driving force of music development, rarely uses chromatic scales and inflections in melody, and harmony gives way to a more secondary position. In short, both melody and accompaniment are based on simplicity. The symbolic meaning of stage scenery and actor's costume is the concept of "complete art" which embodies his original nature. Orff worked tirelessly all his life and created a large number of musical works and musicals. Until 1973, when he was 78 years old, he also wrote his last masterpiece, The Drama of the End of the World.
