University education should not be free. I object.
In sociology, some experts criticized the U.S. government for its unwillingness to popularize higher education and high welfare, because that would make no one willing to do dirty work. This is from a sociological point of view. Although it is inhuman, it still makes sense. Education should be universal, but we should do what we can. If education comes first and is popularized, the trained talents will go abroad if they cannot be absorbed by their own countries. For example, many of our students in Tsinghua, Peking University, have served the capitalists abroad and made little contribution after returning home.
