Article 29 The education administrative department of the people's government at or above the county level shall, in accordance with the requirements of the state, promote the reform of teaching content, teaching methods, examination, enrollment and evaluation system, improve the teaching research guidance system and quality evaluation system of compulsory education, and promote the implementation of quality education.

Article 30 Schools shall implement the curriculum plan formulated by the state and the province, and shall not adjust the curriculum, suspend classes or increase or decrease the class hours without authorization, and shall not occupy music, physical education, fine arts, experiments and other class hours to carry out ideological and moral education, legal education, mental health education, youth education and safety education.

Schools and teachers should respect the laws of education and teaching and the characteristics of students' physical and mental health development, choose teaching content according to curriculum standards, improve teaching methods and improve teaching quality.

The people's governments at or above the county level and their education administrative departments shall equip schools with teachers in music, fine arts, sports, experiments and other disciplines and corresponding education and teaching equipment.

Thirty-first schools and teachers should arrange homework reasonably, ensure students' extracurricular activities, and organize cultural and recreational activities; Ensure that students take part in at least one hour of physical exercise every day during school.

Students are not allowed to participate in business and other activities unrelated to education and teaching.

Patriotism education bases, libraries, youth palaces and children's activity centers should be open to students in compulsory education free of charge; Museums, memorial halls, science and technology museums, exhibition halls, art galleries, cultural centers, theaters, stadiums, zoos, parks and other places should be open to students in compulsory education free of charge or at preferential rates in accordance with relevant regulations, so as to provide convenience for students to carry out extracurricular activities.

Thirty-second people's governments at or above the county level and their relevant departments should strengthen the construction of modern distance education transmission network, establish a service platform for education and teaching resources, and promote the sharing of quality education and teaching resources.

Article 33 The educational administrative departments and schools of the people's governments at or above the county level shall choose textbooks in accordance with the provisions of the state and the province.

No unit or individual may force schools and teachers to order supplementary materials or newspapers in any form, and schools and teachers may not force students to order supplementary materials or newspapers in any form.
