According to reports, the 20 17 Higher Education Exhibition between the Mainland and Macao, jointly sponsored by the College Students Department of the Ministry of Education and the Auxiliary Office of Higher Education of the Macao SAR Government, is being held in Macao. This is the first time that Macao and the Mainland have jointly held a higher education exhibition. Representatives from 78 universities in mainland China 18 provinces and cities answered relevant questions on the spot, which attracted many high school students from Macao to consult.

According to the report, at the scene of the higher education exhibition, many Macao students shuttled between different school booths with a thick stack of enrollment materials in their hands. Some people still come prepared and stop at their favorite university booth to talk to the admissions teacher. The booths of many famous mainland schools are packed.

It is understood that at present, Macao high school students go to mainland universities mainly through two channels: walking students and taking the Hong Kong, Macao and Overseas Chinese Joint Examination. Up to now, 307 mainland colleges and universities have been allowed to accept Macao students, and the number of mainland colleges and universities that receive students who walk will increase to 67 next year, and the number of students who walk will increase to nearly 1,000.

Experts said that because of climate, culture and other reasons, in the past, most Macao students chose southern universities such as Guangdong and Fujian to study in the mainland. However, in recent years, more and more students "went north" to study, and students paid more attention to schools, choosing schools first and then choosing regions.
