A Brief History of Chinese and Foreign Education is divided into two parts. The first part is the History of Education in China, which consists of six chapters. The second part is the history of foreign education, including six chapters. In the structural arrangement of each chapter, although the author takes the longitudinal historical development as the basic clue, he does not simply follow the succession of dynasties or historical development, but integrates some contents from the perspective of how to facilitate teaching and learning. This arrangement is not only convenient for educational guidance, but also more convenient for students to learn by themselves. In the specific content selection, considering that the textbook is a self-study textbook for primary education, it is mainly aimed at teachers in the field of primary education. Therefore, on the basis of taking care of the overall historical development, the content of primary education is emphasized.
